Ricardo Oliveira scored the only goal for Valencia in a win 1-0 at Barcelona on Sunday to regain the top position in the Spanish League.
Although Valencia was outplayed for most of the game following the 15th minute goal by the Brazilian, the club won for the fifth straight time and moved a point clear of Deportivo Coruna.
Deportivo crushed Atletico Madrid, 5-1, on Saturday.

Real Madrid remained within reach of the leaders after a key contribution from
another Brazilian striker. Ronaldo turned in a cross from Raul in the 53rd minute
and made it 2-0 with eight minutes remaining by converting a perfect cross from
David Beckham with a header against Espanyol.

Barcelona's first loss this season moved it down to ninth place with nine points.
Last year's runner-up Real Sociedad was held to a 1-1 tie by Sevilla. Darko Kovacevic' header just four minutes into the game put Sociedad in front.
