Israel coach Avraham Grant named a 19-man squad to face France in Paris next Saturday without Eyal Berkovic.
With France already qualified for the finals as Group One winners and Israel out of the reckoning for the playoff place, Grant decided to drop the out-of-form Berkovic and reintroduce Maccabi Tel Aviv's combative midfielder Oren Zeituni and Bnei Yehuda striker Kfir Udi.
Zeituni has recently recovered from a serious knee injury and has 14 appearances to his name while the imposing Udi gets a recall after more than three years.

The out-of-form Berkovic has lost his place in the Manchester City line-up and will not get the opportunity to return to Paris, the scene of one of Israel's greatest victories when in 1993 they won 3-2.
