Chris Klein had two goals to lead the Kansas City Wizards to a 4-2 win over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.
The Wizards won their second straight and improved to 9-10-8, pulling to within four points of the Rapids for second place in the MLS' Western Conference. Colorado dropped to 11-10-6.
Wizards midfielder Preki finished with three assists.

His curling free kick led to Jimmy Conrad's header for Kansas City's first goal
in the 15th minute. Six minutes later, Preki floated a header to Klein, who
headed in a shot from inside the Rapids' six-yard box. Ticketmaster
Colorado tied it on a goal by Zizi Roberts in the 47th minute and on a penalty kick by Chris Henderson in the 60th that was set up when Mark Chung was taken down in the penalty area by Diego Gutierrez. Ticketmaster
Klein's game-winner was sent to him in the Rapids' box on a cross by Francisco Gomez, who replaced Davy Arnaud in the 76th minute. Gomez then provided the insurance run when he broke behind the Colorado defense in the 90th minute and beat goalkeeper Scott.
